Panel work is the category where what gets written down matters almost as much as what gets installed. The best panel installation in the world is hard to defend ten years later if there's no record of who did the work, which breakers were used, what torque values were applied, or whether the inspection was signed off properly.
Saturn Electrical Services Inc treats panel work as a documented process, not just a physical install. Every lug torqued to spec gets recorded. Every breaker confirmed as listed for the panel gets recorded. Every grounding measurement gets recorded. Across Socorro, NM, this is the kind of work that gets called when a future contractor opens the panel and recognizes that someone serious did it.
Many homes in older sections of Socorro were built on 100-amp service... Modern homes demand more. A 200-amp upgrade involves utility coordination, new service entrance cable where required, replacement of the meter base if specified, the new panel itself, and rewiring of all branch circuits. Done with full documentation.

Common indicators include breakers tripping when multiple appliances run together, a 100-amp service in a home with significant modern load, plans to add an EV charger or central AC, a panel brand on the recall list, or an insurance flag during policy review. A diagnostic visit in Socorro, NM will give you a definitive answer with documentation attached.
Most upgrades in Socorro take one to two working days, with a planned utility outage of several hours during the swap. We coordinate the timing with the utility as part of the project scope.
Generally no. Modern panels require breakers UL-listed for that specific panel. Reusing breakers from an older panel is a common shortcut and a common code violation across Socorro, NM jobs we've inherited from other contractors.
Yes. Panel work in Socorro requires both a permit and an inspection sign-off. We handle the permit application, the inspector coordination, and the documentation that comes back from it.
Because someone will look at this panel again — a future electrician, an inspector, an insurer, or a buyer's home inspection. Documentation is what allows them to verify the work was done correctly without having to disassemble anything. It also protects you if questions arise later about whether the work was code-compliant.
Panel work is the kind of project where the right questions, asked early, prevent expensive surprises later. Schedule a consultation with Saturn Electrical Services Inc in Socorro.
